Per an article in a unknown newspaper or magazine, Tiesto over the phone in an interview said that glow sticks hurt the scene? As a longtime Tiesto and electronic fan (I have listened to it all) I must take a stance of disagreement with Tiesto on this topic. I bet that getting pelted with them numerous times across the globe would put a damper on your love for the fans, but to say glow sticks bring the wrong scene and drugs is a bit out there. The entire point of dance music is to have a good time, get with your friends or find new ones and gather for a common cause, being free to have fun. This is just one aspect of the “scene” but glow sticks shouldn’t be looked down upon. One show I attended myself I brought about a half dozen glow sticks for friends to see Paul van Dyk, only to be given the TSA treatment by the hard-ass cooler and told “NOT ALLOWED.” When asked why the guy just starred at me blankly. I even checked the venue before hand, and as I was being frisked, and saw no notice posted. Gee, you just felt me up with no dinner before hand, and now you are telling me I can’t bring a party device to a party? Not cool man.

Tiesto also mentions they look “horrible”. How so? It’s generally pretty dark at the shows and what about your lasers, lights, graphics, sets, not everyone may like those. What if Prada made glow sticks, would you approve then?

Tiesto, when you come through the midwest this year, I will make it a point (not a be a dick) to bring glow sticks to prove you wrong. Glow sticks don’t hinder the scene.

Anyone around me enough knows my absolute love of tea and a long, long time ago I used to like the Smashing Pumpkings, the original Smashing Pumpkings. After their break-up it was all down hill from there in my humble opinion, but that is not what I am here to debate since the internet if full of the former with no clear winner from either side. My gripe is the influx of people into the ever growing tea business, most do good while others need to find a new line of work.

I have been hard up to not find people who open brick and mortar stores, online shops, write books and “blog” about tea who really have no clue and spew misinformation into the world for new tea drinkers to consume as if true.

Will this venture pan out for Billy? I don’t know, but I hope he is ready for the responsibility of the multi-thousand year old beverage second only to water of which I hold dear.
